Charlotte has been home to many quality French restaurants, including Marais, Pastis, Patou, La Bibliotheque and Townhouse.
Lumiere Restataurant will shine the spotlight once again on fine French Cuisine in Charlotte.
The group that brought you The Liberty is excited to return to their fine dining roots:
Chef and Co-Owner Tom Condron (see Tom on TV!) taps into his experience in Paris and his time with Jean Louis Palladin to bring Modern French Cooking to the Queen City. Operator and Co-owner Matthew Pera brings his background with many of Charlotte's best restaurants to make Lumiere fresh and exciting.
Gorgeously designed and appointed, Myers Park is home to one of Charlotte's best restaurant experiences.
Matthew Pera: Is a rarity, a true Charlotte native... He's been in the restaurant business since he was 16 years old (busboy at the old Cafe Society!). He has been a part of some of the best restaurants in the city, from Marais and Zydeco to Upstream and Zink. He gives a great deal of credit to other restaurant owners he has worked with, such as Ed Steedman, Ron Herbert, John Love, and Tom Sasser. Matthew enjoys travelling the world and eating and drinking his way through other cultures. These experiences have helped him develop an "outside the box" mentality towards the hospitality industry.
Tom Condron: Has been in the restaurant business since he was 14, starting at the famed Dorchester Hotel in England. He has worked for eight Michelin starred chefs throughout his career. He is a University of Florida Graduate, and later attended Johnson & Wales. He went on to work at such restaurants as Le Cirque, Jean Louis @ the Watergate, Aqua Restaurant in San Francisco, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts Restaurant, the Peabody Hotel in Orlando and the Blue Ridge Grill in Atlanta. He joined the Harper's Restaurant Group as Executive Chef for Mimosa Grill in 1997, and opened many of Charlotte's best restaurants.
